This hand-painted reproduction nose art panel replicates the FW 190 flown by Gerhard Barkhorn, the second highest scoring ace of WWII with 301 total victories. Barkhorn became Kommodore of JG 6 in early 1945. Named after his wife, his FW 190 had the usual RLM 81/82 upper surfaces camo with RLM 76 on the sides and underneath. The small #5 aft of the chevron was used to note his fifth aircraft and dates back to his BF 109F when in JG 52.
Made with aircraft aluminum, the hand painted panel measures 18" x 46" and is easily hangable on most walls with built in loops on the rear of the panel. It has a working step and hand doors and makes a great conversation piece and provides the perfect accent to any room.
