This hand-painted reproduction nose art panel replicates "Glamorous Glennis", the Bell X-1 experimental "rocket" plane that propelled Captain Chuck Yeager to Mach 1.06 (670 mph) at 10:22 AM on October 14, 1947, thereby making him the first individual to fly faster than the speed of sound. The aircraft was named after Yeager's wife Glennis, whose name also christened his P-51 Mustangs during WWII.
Made with aircraft aluminum, the hand painted panel measures 14" x 30" and is easily hangable on most walls with built in loops on the rear of the panel. This makes a great conversation piece and provides the perfect accent to any room.
