This hand-painted reproduction nose art panel replicates the Bf-109E-4 flown by Obstlt. Adolph Galland as the Kommodore of JG 26. Number 5819 was the first of three 109's displaying the Schlageter Geschwader insignia and Galland's personal 'Mickeymaus' emblem. Galland became the Wehrmacht's youngest General at the age of 30 with 104 victories and claimed to have the only cigar lighter equipped 109 in the Luftwaffe. This is the second of his E models.
Made with aircraft aluminum, the hand painted panel measures 18 x 40" and is easily hangable on most walls with built in loops on the rear of the panel. This makes a great conversation piece and provides the perfect accent to any room.
