Painted to replicate the nose art on B-17G-15-BO 42-31353, this faithful hand-painted reproduction nose art panel of "Queenie" was created by renowned aviation artist Gary Velasco. The panel pays tribute to the aircraft and crew that participated in the first large daylight raid on Berlin on March 6, 1944 as part of 322BS, 91BG, 8th Air Force. This aircraft was passed on to the 323BS and succumbed to flak over Berlin on April 29, 1944. Unfortunately, only half of the crew survived.
Made with aircraft aluminum, the hand painted panel measures 18 x 40" and is easily hangable on most walls with built in loops on the rear of the panel. This makes a great conversation piece and provides the perfect accent to any room.
