KV-1 1/72 Die Cast Model, "Besposhadniy," 12th Tank Regiment, Western Front, 1942
One of the best known KV-1 Model 1941 tanks in the Russian wartime press was Besposhadniy (Merciless) of the 12th Tank Regiment. Donated to the regiment by contributions from Moscow painters and poets who had won the Stalin prize, the tank was commanded by ace Lt. Pavel Khoroshilov, who destroyed 12 Nazi tanks and more than 40 other German vehicles.
Replicating Besposhadniv as it appeared in 1942, this 1/72 scale, die cast Hobby Master model features a finely cast body with simulated rivets; a rotating metal turret with an elevating metal 76.2mm gun; separately applied plastic detail parts; intricate tracks; realistic weathering and authentic markings, including a cartoon of Hitler being blasted by a tank, victory symbols, a listing of the tank donors' names, and a poem; and more. 3¾" long; includes a removable display base with a clear, protective cover.
